Granthika takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID. We store this in Firebase to identify your account.
Your writing: Your story bible, chapters, and project data are stored in Firebase Firestore so you can access them across devices. This is the core function of the service.
Usage data: We track how many AI generations you use each month in order to enforce your plan limits. We also store basic analytics like session count and words written to power the analytics dashboard in the app.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We store your Dodo Payments subscription ID but never see or store your card details.
We use your data to provide the service — saving your projects, enforcing usage limits, processing your subscription, and showing you your own writing analytics. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your writing to train AI models.
When you generate content, your story bible and chapter notes are sent to Anthropic's API to produce the AI-generated text. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in your story notes.
Your data is stored in Google Firebase, hosted in the United States. By using Granthika, you consent to this storage location.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your projects and personal data are deleted from our systems within 30 days. Some anonymised usage statistics may be retained longer.
You can export your writing at any time using the Export function in the app. You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing granthikaofficial@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We use Firebase Authentication which sets a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Granthika is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We will notify you by email of any significant changes to this privacy policy.
